BRAND STRATEGY
A spark of inspiration.
Plex faced challenges on multiple fronts. The company set several goals for growing sales, leads and awareness. Through product improvements, they wanted to enhance a leadership position within cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). They also had internal challenges to meet—improving customer service, corporate culture, and operations.
From a larger perspective, Plex needed to elevate the brand. Only then, could all the other good things happen. Plex had the technology that was the envy of the industry. Their brand needed to convey the same notion.
The on-premise, legacy IT systems model was no longer sufficient to meet the changing needs of modern manufacturing. The manufacturing companies that truly want to thrive, are going to break out of the old model. However, disruption is not something most executives want to embrace. Our research revealed Plex’s roadblocks. It was unknown. Too risky. Not proven. Not secure. Too new. Prospects needed to make sure Plex was a surefire business catalyst before being comfortable with the decision to change. We simply had to show them the way.

To reflect Plex’s bold vision, we gave their brand a reboot. We started with a new, contemporary logo. The technology that helps Plex power manufacturing companies is incredibly complex, but simple to use. We implemented simple graphics and messages in trade magazines, billboards, video and online.
